Sweet As Can Be – Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato Recipe

I'm a huge coffee drinker, and I like my coffee one way and one way only — tasting like dessert. Whether it's a white chocolate mocha, a cinnamon dolce latte, or a vanilla sweet cream cold brew (if I need a bit of a kick), I love my morning coffee.

Recently, I was gifted a Nespresso (this model, to be exact), and I've been having a blast being the at-home barista for my family. I've been trying to make all my favorite drinks at home, and one of my go-to's is the Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato (which I sometimes sub out for oat milk. It just depends on the vibe). It's refreshing, delicious, and, most importantly, dairy free for my lactose-intolerant friends.

Iced Macchiato

For starters, what is an iced Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato?

It's a pretty simple drink that's jam-packed with flavor. It has a combination of almond milk, espresso, and cinnamon syrup, with the option of adding caramel and/or cinnamon on top (yes, plz). I knew I could replicate this at home and save the $7 that I would spend at Starbucks.

Ingredients

I'm a measure-with-your-heart type of person, but here are my estimations!

These steps may be wonky, but I've truly perfected the at-home iced coffee. I like to start by putting the glass I want to drink from in the freezer to chill. I hate watered-down coffee, so this is my little hack.

While my glass is chilling, I'll start on the espresso. Since I use my espresso, it takes like 30 seconds. I'll get a small cup and add sugar (optional) and cinnamon syrup at the bottom of the glass, and put it under the espresso machine. I'll stir and let it all sit for a bit so it can cool just a bit.

Side note: If this is bad for the espresso, let me know! I haven't had issues, but who knows?

Once my glass is chilled, I remove it from the freezer and add ice and almond milk. When that's settled, I slowly pour the espresso over and drizzle my caramel syrup and cinnamon powder on top.

  4. Sir and let it sit to cool
  5. Once your glass in the freezer is chilled, take it out of the freezer
  6. Add ice to the glass
